Established in 2005, The Lulu Performing Arts Society presents performances and workshops by international, national, and regional artists, as part of the vibrant cultural life of Gabriola Island.
Lulu is interdisciplinary — music, dance, theatre, and electronic media are all part of our programming, with artists ranging from the highest caliber classical performers to improvisers and contemporary artists who explore a variety of genres, styles and media.
Lulu is adventurous — exploring new media, sound art, alternative spaces, and the commissioning of established and emerging writers and composers.
Lulu is inclusive — providing a framework for performing artists and the community to engage one another.
