Sharing great live music in community is made richer when all can participate, which is why accessibility is an important part of Lulu’s mandate, and why we strive to find ways to make concerts affordable to everyone. In “the city” (including Nanaimo) tickets to most classical events cost two to three times more, plus travel expenses. Here it’s a short drive (or walk), you get to sit with your friends, and it’s darn cheap.
So if what we are offer to the Gabriola community moves you; if what we bring is of value to you; and of course, if you can; please consider making a donation toward our ongoing efforts. If you’d like a suggestion, consider donating the price of a ticket ($15) or a season pass, so that more people can benefit from more wonderful music at accessible prices. If you’d rather not have a suggestion, then please keep in mind that any amount makes a big difference.
